For as long as I can remember, I've always been drawn to art making. It started out with finger paintings and coloring books. Then in elementary school, art became the class I looked forward to the most. I even illustrated a comic in my free time. Drawing became one of my favorite hobbies. As I got older, I developed more and more skills and my love for art only grew. I discovered I prefer to make realistic art, especially of nature, often inspired by works of fantasy.

During high school, I started to think about what my future would look like. For most of my life, I was certain I wanted to have a career in art, but for once I was not sure if I would. But one year, I discovered scenic painting, and I immediately fell in love. This was the period that motivated me to continue to pursue the arts. Now I know that I want to keep studying and staying creative so I can continue to paint sets and props for theaters, and continue to channel my inner artist.

In college, I plan on minoring in Studio Art and getting involved in the campus theater’s design team. My goal is to paint for theaters in my free time, and maybe even illustrate graphic novels. Art is very important to me and I know it will always be a part of my life.
